LA-Friday Opening Night Gala will welcome the filmmakers, artists, producers, above and below the line crews, thought makers, implementers, distributors and press that bring stories to life.

SF & LA-On Saturday partake in your choice of screenings in these categories: APP, Mobile-Webseries-Animation-Shorts-Features-LGBT-Music Video-Live Stream-Trailers-MMTV Online Audience Choice-Documentaries-3D-Shot on RED, SRC-Socially Responsible Content, Digital Comics, trailers.

Experts in New Media Technology and Filmmaking share the Who, What, Why and How Social media, alternative distribution...the trials and tribulations of releasing independent films.

In addition to showcasing multiple categories of entered submissions throughout the weekend, our distribution partner is already eager to review NMFF submissions and online distribution outlets have offered to interview and showcase content that is relevant to their site's genre, including but not limited to Mingle Media, Stay Tuned TV and Gal Time.

In addition to our media showcase, attendees have access to an invaluable industry networking experience, including the FREE New Media Marketing Table for use by attendees to distribute business cards and other promotional materials throughout the festival. There will be also be a FREE Networking spot for you to meet fellow New Media filmmakers, artists, producers, above and below the line crews, thought makers, implementers, distributors.

In our Inaugural year, New Media Film Festival had Bella Lagosi's body cast from the Mummy as an art display from Heart of Clay Sculpture Studio and in 2011 we honored Vincent Price's 100th Birthday with a sculpture. You will need to check the website www.newmediafilmfestival.com to see which sculpture will be at our 2012 festival.

After the closing night film on Saturday night, we will have our New Media Film Festival Awards presentation where we announce the winners. Industry leaders will be on board to present our pre to post grand prize package worth over $10,000.00 in SF and over $25,000 in LA!!!

Submission/Entry Fee-covers the reviewing/screening process, if accepted, then the judging process for a chance to win category prizes and/or the Grand Prize (see prize page)


Submission/Entry Process:
Up to 3 people review/screen your content based on story, production value, New Media. If 2-3 of the screeners approve of your content based on our criteria: story, production value, a smipt of new media,you are accepted in to the festival.


Judging Process:
If your content gets accepted into the festival,the New Media Film Festival team will choose the top 3 in each category. Those top 3 chosen in each category go before our judges to choose the category winners and the Grand Prize Winner.
