International Art Exhibit

This shot shows a frozen lake in Bavaria – Germany called “Eibsee”. It was taken at a 120m height with the camera tilted down at a 90° angle. The pattern of the frozen ice is probably the result of trapped air that was slowly released by submerged plants at the bottom of the lake. Winds might have also played a role in forming the pattern on the ice surface. It is clear that nature itself – and not no human intervention – created this beautiful abstract pattern. If one does not know that this picture was taken at a height of 120m, one might mistake the picture for a macro shot showing the inside of a cell or something similar.
