In the summer of 1990, Nathan spends a season in rural Provence, where he forms an unusually deep bond with Nora, a local girl who becomes the closest friend he’s ever had. Eighteen years later, a brief encounter on the Tube pulls him back into everything he left behind, forcing him to confront the truth about the promise they had made.
