What happens when two people destined to have the world fight against them fall in love? Melanie Thorne is a successful lawyer who shares a firm with her husband of ten years, and just won her hundredth case. George Dearborn has just returned from studying abroad to be named the heir to Dearborn Pharmaceuticals, and he’s Melanie’s husband’s nephew. When their paths cross, sparks fly, and a burning love ignites. The universe seems determined to keep them apart, though, as their families and society turn against them. Will they bend to the whims of the world, or dare to realize that the world belongs to them?
